View Full Version : "Round" TPS connectors?

I've been trying to figure out what "series" the round TPS connectors are. I thought metripack 150's, but I don't see it in the metripack "catalog".

Most likely going to end up using the round style TPS, and apparently the three wire CTS I'm going to uses the same connector. As well, it *looks* like that connector was used on the LS-series. I'd like to know exactly what it is, as most likely I have the terminals for it, I just need the body, and I'm sure mouser has them cheap.

This APPEARS to be right, but I don't know how to ensure it will indeed fit the TPS and CTS... http://delphi.com/manufacturers/auto/connection-systems/ecatalog/#/connectors?&_suid=137598987745408085375084596351

Somewhere in my old memory banks I remember them looking almost identical but there is a notch in different place so it can not be used on both? Have no idea where to get them...

I have that nagging thought in my head too, it's why I'm asking. Kind of like the various three wire weatherpack connectors that are "keyed", but not all keyed alike. One website I found that sold the connectors/pigtails (specifically round 3 wire ones like I'm talking about) for LS-series motors I'm pretty sure mentioned CTS and something else that they fit, which kind of made me wnoder if indeed they are different. I think I've got a connector floating around so I can make sure they are interchangable. If they aren't, just means I'll have to source the two different ones. :)

I did find a metripack 280 series that looked the same, but as small as the TPS is, the 280 seemed too large.

The round TPS and CTS use identical connectors, just different wire colours.

They have been used for many years, earliest I recall is 1987 genII 2.8L.

Yep, before I saw this went out and checked the 454TB TPS and the CTS I have, the plugs interchange. They look identical to the mouser part I linked, not sure what else they can be, doesn't seem to be any other connectors that MIGHT be correct.
