HI guys can someone tell me is it possible to put winaldi or tunerpro onto a Ipad or chromebook or some other slim device. I was thinking it would be nice to make a spot on my dash for it and run winaldi sometimes for data logging and cool factor. It would be a lot nicer than taking my bulky laptop!!! Yes I have done some research and from what I can find you only can add apps to an Ipad chromebook through buying them online through a store setup to work with the Ipad/chromebook. I was wondering if there is a new option that might work? Forgive my lack of computer skills i am better at building cars with my hands than using modern computer tools to use.....

Thanks,
Brandon

Have you seen this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sgiroux.aldldroid

Quite a few of my customers are using it in their dashboards :)

That would be one example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MgTZORvxlqU

THanks that was very helpful! Great work! I will have to save up for a droid type device to use with the program. Not sure how to exactly decipher if a device has droid capability? I am guessing some tablets may work and some cell phones? I just need to make sure they are a droid device? IF so what would be the cheapest option for getting a droid device say a used cell phone on ebay? I am just shooting in the dark here don't laught too hard!!! I really appreciate the help!!!

You just need a cell phone or tablet that is running Android. That's what you want to look for. I would personally suggest the nexus 7: http://www.google.com/nexus/7/. Really really nice tablet for the price. If you want something even smaller or something less expensive, you can, like you said, look on eBay for Android phone or tablet. If you plan to connect the device to the car using USB, you will want to look for a device that has USB host capability. If you want that to be wireless instead, you will want to look for a device that supports Bluetooth (most of them do) and get a ALDL to Bluetooth adapter from a place like red devil river. ALDLdroid works with both USB and Bluetooth.
