New to the Ls world and had a few questions, so I'm transplanting a 2013 5.3 into my 1963 Chevy panel truck. I'm attempting to do the wiring myself and with good information from this site I feel confident it can be done, my question is can the tow/haul button be incorporated into the harness somehow?

It sure can. The info on LT1swap.com will give you the pin that needs to be wired up. It's meant to be a momentary switch.
