$OE fan code problem

Hey guys, i just installed dual fans into my 90 suburban which i just swapped my 94 454/4l80e. Running 16197427 with BMHM bin. Im having a problem with the fan code. I cant get the fans to activate through the ecm. If i ground the relay, they turn on perfectly fine. I have it at pin E3 but i get nothing at all. Am i missing something? I am using Gregs adavanced v252 xdf with the fan codes already inputted into the xdf. This is all i basically did, changed codes at addresses 7100-7170 and at 7C07. Where do the algorithms and calibrations get inputted to? I was under the impression i could skip it since i have the fan code xdf. Thanks
