Help with vss connector
So when i pulled the harness for mythe tbi conversioni didnt grab the connector that goes on the back of the green buffer for the vss. I think i can make my own connectors for the buffer but i do not know what each terminal on the buffer does. Does anyone have a picture or can tell me what each terminal does. Thanks

Look through the thread posted in this forum for your ecm/pcm and it should have schematics there. If you cant find it there try firstgen.org.

I don't remember the connections specifically, but will try to get a picture of mine connected to show what wires I have running to mine.
At the moment, best I can recall is that there are 3 wires. One for ground, one for 12vdc and the other is the output to the ECM.
Are you talking about one like this:

No. Its a small green box with 4 connections going out and With 3 wires that come from the sensor

Looking at the right picture, from left to right,
Yellow wire with black stripe. (I don't remember what this is for at the moment)
Output - Brown
(-) Black with White stripe.
(+12) Pink with black stripe. I believe this is connected to IGN.
Here is a picture of one that I have:

I am still looking for this connector. i Need it soon and do not know where to get it besides from someone who has one. My local junkyard wont let you remove parts of things unless you take the whole setup and they charge crazy prices. Thanks

What is this tbi going in and what eng and trans are you using? If it is going in something using a cable driven speedometer, just use an inline vss and you won't need the vss module at all.

Its going in a 78 k20. 5.7 th400. I want to keep the vss in the speedo because it's simple and i allready have it.
