Checking in and describing my project

Hello everybody,

Name is Darrell and I am very new to the concept of interfacing with vehicle on-board computer systems. I am renovating a 1996 Ford F53 Chassis Dolphin RV. It has the 460ci V8 engine with E4OD trans. This year uses an EEC-IV I think. I am trying to put together a system with the intent of primarily allowing real-time data scanning and display on PC while driving. Troubleshooting any codes would be a plus. I have downloaded the TunerPro RT, and now trying to figure out how to connect to the diagnostic port and determine other data files that will be required to allow the program to interface correctly with the RV. Any help would be appreciated.
