Looking at the 1227730 bin files put up by eagle mark, I noticed the 4 letter prefix on them, such as ANJF ARFP AUJP AXXB AXCN and so on. What does that mean, and does it limit you to certain definition files? Thanks in advance

It's a way to identify each BIN.
GM used these 4 letter codes (along with a 3 letter code that is pretty uncommon and early and occasion number codes). The letters themselves don't say anything about the BIN, it's just the way they were named. There is a document that can be used to identify each bin file's application, and what ECM it is originally used in, and other bits of information. It's located in the fileman link a few forum links down.
Awesome thanks for the info!

I think it's this link
Its the BCC code with the bins.
Scroll down a bit. You will find some good stuff in this area.
