Have found the culprit it the Fan Enable/Disable temperature logic of the AUJP $8D code. It appears this code was developed with the thought that no one (except me) would ever set the Disable temperature >= the Enable temperature (while testing or otherwise).
Bottom line, if you do so, the fan(s) will run, but not at full speed because they are constantly being turned on and then off every 200ms. Seems they would have programmed this differently, but at the time they probably assumed no one would ever be changing such values but its still not good coding.
FWIW - Attached are Fan 2 flow logic documents highlighting the issue. Fan 1 is identical to Fan 2 except for Fan 1 run-on times which do not apply to Fan 2, as those values are set = 0 in AUJP.

EDIT 3/23/2014 -------------
A new Version 3 of the AE Document has been uploaded. The "Fuel Out Single and Double Fire Flag Logic.doc" document previously uploaded separately has been incorporated into Version 3 as an Appendix so it's no longer provided separately.
It's important that all prior versions of these two documents be discarded as they contain an error with regard to injector firing. Many thanks to RBob at ThirdGen.org for his contribution to the corrections.
Version History
Version 3 March 23, 2014
- Corrected the Injector Firing Process section to properly reflect how the injectors are fired.
- Incorporated the Fuel Out Routine document previously published separately into this document as Appendix E.
Version 2 March 11, 2014
- Page 4, under Fuel Summary, changed the PW required to invoke Single Fire Mode from 1.1ms to 0.85ms to correctly state the proper transition PW.
Initial Version February 13, 2014

Like many, based on the number of posts, I too have been struggling with Acceleration Enrichment. Still am. So some time ago decided to dive into the AUJP $8D code in an attempt to understand what goes on under the covers. Bottom line - a lot! Many pages of notes produced during the process were converted into a document for my reference. But decided to post it in hope it will help others using this code mask.
Every effort has been made to check and double check to ensure accuracy. But life happens, so would appreciate feedback on anything that appears incorrect so changes can be made.
Hope this helps!
