Any workaround for Tunercat OBD-II editior from not crashing ?
This problem has been around since Windows XP and gotten worse with newer Windows like 7, 8.1 and 10
The larger the flash file is (newer the vehicle is) the more apt some type of failure occurs while editing a flash file,
if for PCM or TCM.
Even with newer MSwindows and installing Tunercat OBD-II as an Admin and to run either in XP 2 or 3 compatibility mode
does not prevent the editor from crashing while in process of working within a flash file
Worse is again using flashes that are larger in size and doing a compare with another flash file and even though as example
the P/C has 10 gigs of free RAM, the editor crashes with MSwindows saying no memory free.
I have several either P/Cs or laptops, with XP, 7, 8.1 and 10 and they all have the same crashes and really makes it a pain in the
ass as to just making a few tuning value changes, then doing a save, and then make more changes, and keep doing that until
tune changes are done
I assume this is some type of runtime issue or editor was compiled with older (like 2002) Vbasic and needs the editor software code
compiled to function with newer MSwindows
Anyone found a fix or workaround for this ?
Thanks
