...closed loop VE? Correct me please if i'm wrong but in order for the PCM to calculate open loop AFRs it would first need a known closed loop stoich value ie VE? And in order to get commanded open loop AFRs one must have a solid VE table? Tune is getting so much better, just need a little cold start fine tuning.

no..... you had the idea in post #1.
i could have sworn i saw replies in this thread the first time i looked....
but anyways, yes, get EVERYTHING done and dialed in at full operating temp first, then deal with cold temp compensations. otherwise, you'll chase your tail trying to get both situations happy.
