I ask because just had a brain fart...
So the 7427 recognizes a 4k vss signal, just registers as 2x actual speed.
The VSS is "mostly" so the pcm understands when vehicle is moving or idling?
Does it really matter/have any effect on driveability if someone were to just use a 4k signal to pcm?
All of the 7427 .bins I've seen have fuel cutout speed limiter. There should be a table for fuel off and fuel on vs mph.
Ok, found 'em...and changed 'em.
I think I'll just run it w/ 4k to the pcm then unless anyone objects or has other reason(s) to believe something won't work properly?
No transmission controls as I have a 727 in the Jeep.
I'm using mine in a 89 model manual trans truck with the only speed input coming from the cluster.
