Tunercat does have that parameter. I always tell people to hook up the 4 Trans Range wires because I never know what software the vehicle may be tuned with and it saves headaches on my end.

Agreed - Tunercat has this parameter - at least for some Gen III OS anyway. See attached PDF as an example ...
I'd have never run them wires if I did not have to... :rolleye:
Here's the hex address... CAX file for EFI Live or whatever in HP TUner! 0x1E5C2 Gear Indicator (0=None 1=PRNDL 2=P/N)
Or just open all the 0411 tuns, make them bins, fix them in TunerCat and POOF! No more wires...
I'm curious How or even IF that would affect the ""Crank Relearn Procedure".

I forget if I ever did one? Or did I do it with EFI Live V2? How does a manual trans do CRP?
All I really know about CRP is GM tech of how it's done and then a 50-50 split of if it is needed and then it's only to fine tune for misfire detection?
I've never done one on a manual trans vehicle. But, I think it needs input from the clutch switch. Maybe setting the Gear Indicator to "None" does away with needing any of those inputs. I really don't know.

EagleMark, what's up with your Roadrunner? Was it the wiring issue causing problems or something more?
The ABS was a wire I repinned wrong and the issue with Roadrunner was from following EFI Live instructions that were wrong. All is well since.
