SuperHbody, yes sorry I released a bad update. The dropbox library ended up being stripped from the final APK file and I didn't realized it until it was too late. This was quickly resolved tho, just updated to the latest version again and everything should be fine. Let me know if you have further issue :)
(I don't know why the email notification of this forum only work sometime :|)

Hi. I have an APU1, what in addition to the app do I need to buy?
I'd like to do tuning. How would I connect the APU1 to my phone? Can I use the data logging in the APU1 or do I need that device from red river?
I haalve a 16 pin GM.
Can dropbox be used to supply our definition files?
-
You can datalog with the APU1, the app supports both the pass thru mode and the APU1 mode. All you may need is an OTG cable for your phone/tablet. If you're able to connect a USB flash drive or whatever to your phone/tablet, you should have all you need to connect the APU1.
And Dropbox can be used to supply the ADX/XDF files, yes.

Awesome, thanks!
The only comment so far is tge settings page should show the current selected value. I git a OTG for my phone, my tabket takes a 30 pin connector n that OTG was ordered today.
-
Not sure what you mean, the settings page should show the current selected value of what ?
-
Bluetooth device ahould ahow the selected device
data stream file shoukd show the ds file
gps units should show km or mi
orie tation should show auto/landscape/portrait
Currently the only way to know the setting is to change it.
-
You don't have to change the value, just tap on the setting and you can click cancel after :)
-
Immediately just showing it would be cooler. Just show the current value on the right. We can see the value of the check boxes... why not put a text of the value in the non-checkbox values?
Aside from that I'm really impressed. The only other thing I could think of would be to somehow link two users of the app so one can live-monitor and tune, while one gathers data. This way the person driving the car can just drive it while someone 1000 miles away who has better experience and tuning skill can tune, in real time. Maybe this is a 'Pro' feature, but I'd cerainly pay someone to 'ride shotgun' and tune. This woukd get around having to have ecperience and/or a dyno.
Another great feature would be the ability to share bins between aldldroid users. I could 'try' someone else's bin (or parameters from it - tables mainly). I see the app as a possible extension of what we do here in the firm - collaboration.
-
if we use a Burn1 or Burn2 to read and write EEPROMS, can we also access and see the Hex buffer table?
-
Scorp1us, I would have to see some people actually use the tuning section before I start thinking about that kind of complicated feature tho :D
Not sure what you mean Jeff... You can read the chip and then save it to a BIN file if this is what you mean ?
-
I would like to view the read data on the screen, meaning if I read from chip I would like to look at the hex code (on burn1/2 I believe it is edit) this way i can see what I have loaded to verify it loaded
that help?
-
Oh, got it now, that's currently not possible... You can always save to a bin file and use the tuning section to view the data, in a human readable format too :)
-
It had problem parsing my Advanced $0D file, sent a bug report.
Where in drop box to I put the bin?
