hi guys looking forward to learning more about tuning my camaro and hopefully seeing some pics of some cool rides.
Welcome! Can you add your location information to your profile? Tell us some more about your camaro and goals?
welcome, you're in good company, especially if it's an LT1, lots of good stuff in my signature for you to try out.
thanks thats great i have tuner pro rt and eehack as well as 94-94 i have the cable.
so far i have figured out how to delete things like egr CATS air pump etc.
re calibrated my speedo because i changed my rear end and have vette wheels.
other then that have not done much with the tuning but i am looking forward to learning.
i have a cold air intake a 58 mm throttle body 3 inch exhaust bbk headers cat delete and air pump delete.
not to sure if i need to tune anything with those mods but hopefully i find out here.
thanks for making me part of the family.
if your car is an automatic you need to recalibrate your transmission for that throttle body as the line pressure is pretty much controlled by the TPS (you're now getting quite a bit more air per degree of throttle and the transmission needs to know that)
you should recalibrate your maf table a bit down low to account for the cold air intake (eehack has a button that'll read your log and tell you how to correct your maf table)
you should adjust your o2 sensor delay settings due to the different o2 locations from your headers as well as the different sizes tubes
that's a good start
thanks i will see if i can figure some of this out but i think i will be asking for some help still pretty new at using tuner pro and i had the old eehack before that i thought just flashed i have the new one and it looks pretty neat just going to need some help figuring it out.
so i ran eehack saved it how do i put it up for you to see cause i was looking on how to change the MAF but i couldn't find a button or a way to calibrate it and i see it going red when i looked at the datalog is there a way to show you my data log?

you should be able to attach your eehack log to the forum if you press 'go advanced' at the bottom.... but you might have to zip it (right click and add to zip file) first.
that's not a good snapshot, your maf airflow is low but it's pulling a ton of fuel. it's compensating for a rich condition for some reason.
i tried to zip my data and put it on here but it wont even zip it keeps saying the file is empty but it works fine when i load it into eehack.
got any suggestions on what i can do?
here is my bin i dont know if that will help.its a bin from when i changed my speedo after i got bigger wheels, but the settings are the same as i have everything set now maybe looking at that you can tell if i have the MAF set wrong or the TRANS or fuel or what ever
thanks by the way.
nothing wrong with your bin
something wrong with your sensors or your engine
your trims are maxed out trying to pull fuel because it thinks its running rich
this is bad
it's hard to make an engine run that rich just from some bolt-ons.
your trims should be 120-135 kind of thing, they're 108.
bad o2s, bad maf, leaking fuel pressure regulator, those are some possibilites
ok thanks i will see if i can figure it out and do another datalog and see about saving it to a zip
i did notice my car starts fine then a few min in the IAC drops from 160 to 90 and the closed loop enable comes on and the BLM enable comes on and the LBLM and RBLM drop to 108 from 128

this is after a few min

now i see i have a error for egr no prob there i cleared that but i also have one for tps
the a/c ones i know about my compressor just crapped out.
in your opinion is it the IAC or is it the TPS or am i missing something here?
car runs and drives fine but i do smell the richness i kinda knew since the mods its smelt like gas.
total mods CAI BBK 58mm TB BBK shorty headers no air pump no CAT i have 02 still and 3 inch exhaust magna flow muffler.
the TPS code isn't good, you need to find out why that's happening and fix it, and also find out why it's pulling so much fuel.
you can check the TPS voltage in eehack with the car off, that'll be the best way, change the view filter to 'advanced' and you'll see it if you scroll down. it should be above half a volt at idle, with an aftermarket throttle body sometimes the tps holes are in a bad spot, people have had to hog out the holes in the TPS and tweak it to get the thing to read in range.
the tps voltage range on an LT1 doesn't have to be perfect, it remembers the lowest voltage it's seen as 0%
ok so tps volt was 0.61 so thats good right?
now i noticed the BLM goes to 108 both sides right as it goes into closed loop on and BLM learn enable.
so as it warms up the idle drops to 675 to 700 rpm in park now i think thats low in park.
now im not the best at this tuning stuff but im not a complete idiot lol so any ideas how i can fix this (eg what buttons to be pushing and what numbers i need to change on tuner pro rt.
any help will be greatly appreciated thank you.
no, don't tune this car. it has an issue or two that needs to be solved firstQuote:

your BLMs shouldn't be maxed out like that on a car with just a CAI and headers, not with the stock tune
your TPS low code is still present, you need to figure out why, it could be a bad connection
if you've been playing with it you should clear the codes and see if it comes back, have you done that? you might just disconnect the battery for a bit at this point to make sure everything is clear
i cleared the codes drove it for a hour no check engine light came back.
the idle still goes a little low almost to the point of stalling but it doesnt.
i think i have something wrong with the egr cause i get that code more then any other but it usually only shows up when im horsing around(doing burnouts and stuff).
the only thing i have done on tuner pro is turn off air pump and CATS and re calibrated my trans for the speedo rear and tire change.
in those 3 pics above the first one is when i first started the car everything was good until it went into closed loop then everything started acting up.
it thinks its rich and its pulling quite a bit of fuel. this means either it is rich (which it shouldn't be) or your o2s are lying and it's not actually rich, both of which are problems that require diagnosis
so i ended up having thhe wire from my alt break off . so i got that fixed havent plugged the car into the pc yet but it does run better so i hope it was a volt issue with the wire eyelid slowly cracking off. when i get a chance i will scan it again right now working on my sons 69 4x4 .
thanks for your input so far.
Have you checked your fuel pressure? Are you running stock injectors? Any mods to the fuel system?
still have stock injectors but have CAI and 58mm tb have not changed anything as far as tuning any fuel or anything like that .
i joined this site to learn how to do that kinda stuff . so far just calibrated my speedo for the rear end and wheel change as i have z06 corvette takeoffs so i have 18 in front and 19 in the rear and i have 3;42 posi.
so i think i figured it out by looking around on this site and figured that because i have a 58mm tb and CAI my MAF was not working correctly on here i found that just tuning the MAF curve just a little it seemed to level out and get my BLM to sit at around 117 instead of the 108 it was sitting at now the car runs so smooth just like new lol
also i would just like to say to you guys that make these programs that the new flashhack worked great so easy to use ( once i figured out where the flash button was lol)
just wanted to let you know that i flashed a couple times with no issues everything went smooth.
one thing i havent figured out yet is it doesnt put a desktop icon up i had to send one to my desktop, not a big deal other then that very nice to work with.
now i just need you guys to show me how to squeeze some more power out of my camaro lol.
thanks guys
here is a before and after adjusting the MAF
glad it's all working for you
the one place you'll gain the most power is wide open throttle fueling, the fbody bin is really rich, so you'd be removing a bunch o' fuel at wide open throttle. this is a bit dangerous without a wideband but i usually go 10% leaner and nothing has exploded yet (if the rest of the car is healthy)
it'll tolerate a more timing advance at high MAP if your fuel is of good quality too, at least a few degrees
great thanks i will try that you guys are great.
