not much straight about that. look at the angle it's pulling your throttle linkage at (would get worse as the throttle opens). i bet the friction is all where the inner cable exits the outer...

another thing with your throttle body is the throttle shaft gets pretty sticky, especially on antique aftermarket throttle bodies. you can just get some penetrating oil and spray it from the inside...

most guys would just get a G1 and a chip, and a cheap programmer, the thing is it MUST have been already tuned or it would barely run at all, so you might want to open it up and see if that stuff is...
