I see some activity over on eectuning.org related to the powerstroke engine tunes. It looks like Popsracing over on that site might have the definition files you need to tune those engines using...
Do you know the year/make/model of vehicle it is from ? save me some time :)
So is it posi now ?
Nice ! That's what it's all about :)
Yes - via several methods. Some bastard step-children in there
Be aware that Ford went to a system that controlled the fuel pump pressure and flow with pulses of electricity or variable volts around 1998. The pumps before that should be fairly of a regular sort.
Since you went through the trouble of getting the hardware and software to modify your tune you may as well take advantage of it for a few more Horses under the hood. If your software allows you to...
This is dragging on too long - need to get working on the house. But the parts are getting painted and going on the car. I like it :jfj:

Now THAT looks like something I would do Dave
no offense intended ...
Installed my first convertible top this weekend. A real pain to access the location of the fasteners and some of the little ones up front were STUCK, still overall not too bad. It's bright white so I...
That doesn't appear to be a Ford EEC-IV so I guess it's by Mazda. I'm no help tuning a Mazda :?: Doing a piggy back installation of another ECU like Mega Squirt might be your best option to get...
I'm getting some conflicting data from my searches. Mega Squirt claims that the early Probe uses the same hardware as the Mustang (at least on the V6), when I enter the part number for a replacement...
It was probably an 80 - but he called it the Girl Scout - that is it was for scouting girls lol
I haven't tuned on a Probe specifically but it seems to use the same EEC-IV hardware that other Fords do. That means the usual tuning tricks will work - ie attaching a Moates Quarterhorse to the J3...
My brother did up a 1st gen scout - right around a 1960 - with the slant 4 engine. Scouts look cool with some big rubber under them and they usually have some pretty reliable axles under them too....
Nice Scout ! I admire any vehicle that makes my Rover look good. Well better anyway ...
@Six - haircut, diploma, TGO - you're on fire! next you'll be running for Mayor
IMRC = Intake Manifold Runner Control - my engine has 16 intake valves but only uses 8 of them at low RPM for more air velocity/swirl/torque - now I have an adjustable circuit that opens the IMRC...
So are we supposed to actually mention what we did on the weekend? I'm slowly painting my way around the Stang. And I got an RPM switch wired to my IMRC unit. No more toggle switch
thanx...
Rebuilt a new/used front cover the last few days. Been a long time since I tried to do a real paint job. I'm kinda rusty.

that's so politically incorrect :nono: - How can I resist spreading it
Wonder if he got his 70 virgins ?
Apparently my sarcasm font is broken ...
:yikes:
Innovative ! Can you even PUT a 'BD' after two '48's :?:
:rolleye:
Yes it does look pretty cool - did you ever find a page with prices and available applications ?
