Thanks for the updates, Tom!
I'll catch up and take a look, been away from this for a couple weeks.
Great progress, thanks for the continued hard work!
Jim
Thanks for sharing, Tom.
Took a quick look and played with it a little bit.
One thing I would suggest is to place the comment/scratch area at the end of the file rather than the beginning;...
Thank you Tom and kur4o for keeping on with the goal of creating a read/write flash tool for these pcms!
Been away for a while. I'll the give read/upload from post#34 a go, although not sure how...
Hello Tom - Just catching up after some time away and though late still wanted to chime in on bin format.
One fairly common format I have seen is 144kb. This format has been simply and clearly...

Just reiterating my support for this enhancement -
definitely worthwhile and beneficial in my book!

I believe from earlier posts there is only room for one copy of the VE table. However, it seems a static "initial" VE table would/could still exist in still in the bin and could be used as the...
It's fantastic that tables can be relocated via patch and still be supported for quick changes via flashhack. This will be a very powerful customizable.capability, regardless of which tables end up...
My high level thoughts on the trans tables were the normal mode up/down shift table, kickdown mode speed and rpm tables, and normal mode TCC engage and disengage tables. Performance mode shift and...
Sharing some thoughts and ideas on relocated "quick tune" tables -
With limited space I wonder if it's possible to create a few clusters of tables to choose between depending on what a user might...
Been following along - thanks to all!
This is great progress for all platforms Y, F, and B alike. Quicktune tables will be a great advance, and it'll be nice to have the persistent PCM...
I wanted to provide some more details on the OBDX Pro DVI mode setup and tests I ran in post 419 above -
Here is the list of commands I used to set up and run the DVI mode tests in post 419....
Following up with results of my testing with OBDX Pro - I was able to run tests in both ELM and DVI modes.
The test configuration and commands in ELM mode:
AT SP2
AT H1
AT S1
DX SD 4C 10...
I will try to give these tests a go this evening or tomorrow.
And thanks for sharing your hard work on the physically addressed mode commands!

A request directed to the cable itself (eg, $22 Section 3.7) could be useful just to confirm the cable is talking with Realterm. Based on earlier test results, it doesn't seem that $0D (or $0A) is...
Realterm updates are available under the "News" tab on the sourceforge page, along with a description of each release and a link to the developer's download page with all the installers. V3.0.0.33...
Thank you Sherlock and Tom -
My understanding of DVI is that it is separate and independent of the ELM protocol. Therefore the ATSH has no effect and the header must be included in the DVI...
Sherlock - glad you're up and running with the OBDX Pro and making progress. I have Realterm as well so that's a common foundation to work from.
Glad to help with testing, but unfortunately I...
Been following along - I have both the OBDX Pro VT and OBDLink SX cables for logging my 1996 Caprice 9C1 LT1, so did some testing.
Ran the tests Tom H was looking for:
- Tested both OBDX Pro...
Sharing my experience with bad coolant temp sensor (CTS) on my 95 LT1 -
My CTS failed low (constant, not intermittent), but not failed to the point that a code was set.
Flooded out the engine -...
The OBDLink SX and software is what I used when I needed a turnkey datalogger for my 96 9C1. The software is included via download and logs the same basic PIDs as shown on a scan tool. Was...
Glad to hear you're making progress - interested in how it turns out.
Cant help on 126ED, but wanted to point out the SD pumpshot patch kur4o just added to the xdf in case you hadn't seen it....
Following along -
Good info here (thanks kur4o) - Seen other posts where min transient fuel mass affected min pulsewidth, but not specifically for $EE.
Min transient fuel mass is in the xdf with...
I can only provide indirect info, but ...
95 F-body FSM shows if injector voltage is in error (e.g., unplugged injector) for more than 4 sec, that injector driver is disabled for some unspecified...
So in the name of science I opened up my spare PCM from a 95 F-body - looks just like the image posted by spfautsch above with the three unpopulated pads.
Mine appears to be a reman - it has a new...
