What PCM? Was Flex Fuel even available ever in a P01 PCM?

02 Tahoe, Suburban. Yukon, Yukon XL all with 5.3L. I don't think I've ever seen one of those that wasn't flex.

    Hello,

OK. Different problem then. I just looked at the three most popular 512k byte, P01 PCM operating systems that have richly featured Tuner Pro RT XDF definition files - "8322", "2156" and "2088". I'm not the sharpest knife in the drawer on this stuff but it appears that none of these XDF files expose Flex Fuel as an editable feature.

The one megabyte, blue / green connector, P59 PCM "7603" OS is a different story. It has a Flex Fuel feature that can be manipulated and we have a good XDF for this OS. The wiring harness for a P59 is a little different from a P01 PCM but this is not hard to change.

The 02 Flex Vehicles I mentioned use OS 12216125 with a P01 PCM.

I had forgot this was available. The 02 trucks equipped with the 8.1L and 4L80s, although they were not flex vehicles, used the 12216125 flex OS So you can use their 4L80 segments in the 02 5.3L L59 flex vehicles. Here are a couple of stock files. One is a 02 8.1L/4l80 truck and the other one is a 02 Suburban 5.3L L59 flex that I segment swapped the 8.1L Trans and Trans Diag segments into.

Sweet thanks guys. It going on a 6.0l. so my next question is what motor size would an experience tuner uses to start the 5.3 is closer. Figured I would copy over my ve tables and cylinder volume I'm assuming spark tables, injector tables. What else throttle cracker and follower table. Pretty new to this depth of switch over. Have AFR gauge and pcmlogger logging it pretty nice along witoh megalogviewer to get the scatter plots and histoGrams. If I can get it close I'll post for everyone to start with if they are doing the same.
