I have a stock 1978 chevy k20 with the 5.7l engine. I converted it to tbi a long time ago and im using the stock 454 tbi spacer as my adapter from the tbi to the carb pattern. Everything is all set up for custom chips and i have all the tools and know how to burn the chips. Here is my question. The camshaft in my truck now is completely toast. I have been tuning it over the years to stay running with the poor camshaft. The new cam i have is a melling ccs-2. Its just a stock flat tappet cam. Basically i need to know what bin i should flash to so i can start up the engine and quickly bring up the rpms to break in the cam. I dont want to be sitting there trying to get it to run while wiping out the new cam from lack of lubrication. Im afraid the current tune fueling and spark may be way off from the bad cam and i wont be able to get the engine to run somewhat ok with the new cam and current bin for the breakin process. Thanks
