Question Changing operating systems. From 12587604 to 12587603

As the title states after some research it seems in some cases it is recommended to outright switch to an operating system that is more supported. Im curious if that is something possible to do if anybody has any experience in this regard and has any advice? i have a 12587604 OS from a 2004 gto ls1 m6 dbc. Is it possible to switch to a 12587603 OS from say a 2004 c5 ls1 m1 dbc? Are the tunes identical? Is all i would have to do is flash the full bin from the new OS to my car? any feedback or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! my bin is attached.

Ah ok thanks for your help, im relatively new to ls tuning im from the Subaru tuning world which is much easier. So i know my car is drive by cable so that bin should be too? I should be able to flash the bin and it should be the same?

actually it appears from further research that corvette one you attached would work however i would have to manually compare every table and transfer any data from my bin to the corvette one? i hope thats not correct because its very time consuming but doable and makes sence. Im hoping someone here has experience swapping OS because there is over 1000 tables i would have to check copy i believe

I have not converted a blue/green to drive by cable. The corvette calibration is drive by wire. I am curious what others have done to make this happen since we don't have IAC tables or are they already there and I paid no attention? :( It seems to me 24lsx1(sp?) has quite a bit of experience so maybe he will chime in.

My 97 Express has a DBC 383 running a Blue/Green. Only certain part numbers and hardware numbers have IAC drivers. For other projects, I looked at probably 50-75 Blue/Greens in the junkyard recently and found 4 with IAC drivers. A couple in DBC 2003 Tahoes and a couple in DBC Express vans. I bought all 4 for $25 each. When I got the PCM in the van a few years ago I only found 2. LT1Swap wiring page has the information on which part numbers support IAC. You need a DBC base file to support DBC. The base file in my Express van is a 2005 Mexican 1-ton truck L31 GMT800 file.

Hmm, maybe this is a bit beyond my ability. I read on a github post that the 12587603 should have a m6 ls1 DBC combo correct?

Only cars I could see that maybe had a P59 DBC would be a GTO or CTSV. Not sure what operating systems they used though.

Just looked it up, LS6 in the CTSV used the early corvette or truck style DBW throttle body with dual connectors. 04 GTO LS1 was DBC. To my knowledge all Vettes were DBW from 97+.

Ok interesting, so than it shouldn't work. Which is interesting because in the 04 vette file i have, it shows dbw in red like my gto, and it also has filled in iacv tables. I was really hoping an os change was possible because there is no support for the Gto 12587604 OS

Have a gander at the two files I have for this. Lot's of info, I am not sure if you can't just uncheck the flag for DBW, again, I haven't tried so maybe this info will help.
