crankcase ventilation takes a bit of thought
if you have oil in your intake now that means you have oil vapors in your crankcase gasses (normal)
that means if you vent to atmosphere, the fumes you vent will still have oil vapors, and when they cool to ambient temperature, they'll just condense and you'll have oil dribbling out of your vent
if you trap the fumes using a separator you'll have to empty it or design it to drain back to the crankcase
most valve covers have a bit of a seperator/trap to prevent actual oil from sloshing out, do yours?
truth is oil in your intake causes no real harm, better to burn those oily fumes rather than expel them
You could try replacing the PCV valve.
AC Delco CV774C or Fram FV393 are PCV valves that will fit the 572RB engine.
They are on ebay for $22.
There may be less oil in the intake.
both have baffles, one at the non-PCV and one at the PCV, have not restarted since installing vac gauge. Vac should be very low considering cam. Will find out.......thanks
