Hello. Thanks for allowing me into the forum.

I have a 1990 Pontiac Firebird Formula, 305 TPI (LB9), 5 spd (MK6) with 3.42 rear axle. I bought it last spring after unsuccessfully hunting for the 1988 Formula I learned to drive in. It's in good original condition, but had a bad intermittent driveability issue that took me 7 months to figure out. After replacing almost everything related to spark and fuel, short of pulling the tank, it turns out it was the PROM. A prior owner had removed the original and sold the car with a PROM that had an SST chip swapped in. It would misfire and buck right around cruising RPMs (1,800 to 2,100). After researching which PROM broadcast code this car needs, I found one on eBay, swapped it in, and finally have a driveable car. Sort of amazing that even in a 30-year-old car it all came down to a computer chip. Now I'm here to get the definition and bin files for Tuner Pro RT 5, and to learn more. Cheers.
