Well...

Cleaned the gunk out of the tank as best I could with a redneck acid wash - and lots of scraping tar (or whatever E10 fuel leaves behind) off the bottom of the tank, then replaced the pump and sending unit.

Got fuel to the rail, but still no start. Then I pulled the rail & injectors out of the manifold and cranked it over - nothing, not a drop.

I soaked the injectors in lacquer thinner for 2 days - and then they went clicky clack. Put them back in - retest - all sprayed fuel!

Reinstalled the injectors and rail - and she fired right up. Idles OK and seems to rev - but can't drive it until I get the urethane butt back on... 😎 I did load the tank with a couple bottles of Techron fuel system cleaner - I've always heard that's good stuff.

@steveo - will it run noticeably better with "modern" injectors? I know injector tech has come a long ways since 1994 but I'm concerned about a mismatch between the injector drivers in the ECU and new injectors... or are you saying just find some new ones with the same AC Delco part number?

I don't know that this car is worth a bunch of mods - just getting back to original running condition would be nice. I think it does have an aftermarket cat-back on it but I assume these old MAF EFI systems are able to compensate for some bolt ons without getting too out of whack...

Oh wait - that's what EEhack is for ! 🤠
