So if reading correctly, its best to jam a 04 OS on the ecu that matches what i drive and then tune or make changes from there. Guess i am lucky i got an 04 ecu from the junkyard for my test ecu. Will plug up to my truck to see if removing the vats and minor tweaks worked. Thanks for the help, came across that thread before but guess i didnt really really read it.

About the 03 with the return. If i use a 04 os on my 03 engine would i just compare injector flow rate and copy whats on the 03 tune onto the 04 bin through tunerpro? If that makes sence
Hi everyone. Newbie. Justed wanted to know if anyone have a bin file for a ecm that I picked up at the junkyard for me to learn how to remove vats. I also have another ecm for the 5.3l engine and tranny I picked up at the junkyard. But first I want to use one of them to learn how to use. It's from a 03 Tahoe 2wd 5.3l with a 6L60e tranny. The number on the pcm is 12582607.
If any one has a bin please help me out. I appreciate it.
Joey
A 6L60E transmission in a 2003 Tahoe? Are you sure on that? Maybe a 4L60E transmission? That trans would have been typical for a 2003 Tahoe and as far as I can tell, GM never made a 6L60E. The 6L80E came out in 2006 and it could have been possibly retrofitted to a 2003 Tahoe with a 5.3 liter but you won't find a stock 2003 6L80E BIN mated to a 2003 engine. That combo did not exist in 2003.
If it is a 4L60E that you have, there are several combos with richly detailed XDF files around here for 5.3L engines and 4L60E transmissions. Basically, you would completely overwrite (after making a copy) your 12582607 BIN and replace it with one of these:
12208322
12212156
12202088

Hi there Rick. Nice to meet you. Thank you for hour info and hour right about that tranny. I just happen To make a mistake in tying that tranny. The right tranny was a 4L60E. I’m using this Ginny pig pcm so I could learn how to remove vats. I also have another pcm that came from a 03 Tahoe 5.3l 2wd with a 4L60E tranny. I bough this so I could put it in on a 1951 GMC 100 pickup. So I’m try to learn how to remove the vats so I could get it started.
Thank you have a good day.

Pulled this bin today off of a random loose pcm laying around. I believe it to be from a 2003 6.0/80e van

I had looked through over 50 2003 6.0 truck files I have in my library and I did not have the Segment 7 (System) in any of them. That got me thinking someone may have over written the values in it at some other time. So I just had to recreate it with SPS and read it out. Here it is if anyone needs it.
