Got the MPFI running great but it does not have MAF.

He just did the Hot Rod Power Tour 2013. You can see the truck in this video at about 40 seconds.

Ok so i got around to hooking everything up yesterday and she fired right up. I have to say that this thing runs almost perfect! I made it go into speed density mode(unplug the maf) for tuning and now i cant get back to maf mode. I get the quick flashes on the ses light. Anyone had this issue? How can i go back?

Blinking light(rapid) is usually a bad .bin or poorly seated memcal.
Disconnect the PCM for a few to clear the error codes, and plug it back in.

However the stock .bin doesn't have the error codes enabled, and they need to be for proper operation.
If you don't have the error codes enabled switching to SD mode doesn't work properly.
When I tried disabling MAF error code 16 to turn off the SES light when I was running w/o the MAF it wouldn't run.

Also AE & PE in the starter .bin is very very aggressive.

I've had to change a LOT in the .bin for a stock-ish engine.
Cranking fuel was a big one, it was way too rich and I was having start/stall & very hard start issues.

Yeah i will have to try that memcal today. Another thing is where is the second output for the high speed fans? The low speed fans are connected to E3 on the PCM. Also I did not drive it yet but the throttle is very responsive at idle.

Ok so it turned out i had to re flash my emulator. Thats all good now. I took it for a test drive and there's alot of pinging when i hit the gas. Also the speedometer in the tuner pro adx dash does not work. I have tried to move the VSS wires to pins F4-F5 but no such luck. I am thinking because i have an older speedo set up with the yellow buffer box that takes 4kppm from the sensor at the transmission connected to F2-F3. Is there a way in tuner pro to change this setting or is this the same as the drac module?

You should use your old timing tables vs. what is in the MAF .bin

Far as the speedo goes, I use a 2k VSS on pin F13 (w/ no drac/vssb box) works fine after changing a setting in the .bin
Are you using the MAF specific adx?

Yes this is the experiment 0D xdf file.

Would this be the SA tables? Looking at my prev bin they are quite different.

What setting in the bin do you change? VSS/Ratio?

Is a 4 out buffer box compatible with a 7427? I have no speedometer on the tunerpro dash. Changed speedometer recently to including digital speedometer head and geared 4 pole vss in trans.

For the MAF code I read you need to take the VSS input and directly pin it to F4 & F5.

If you read the OD MAF threads on thirdgen there is some info on VSS.

I use a 2k VSS on mine, so can't help you.
