I do know that the '85 was always a much snappier car from the factory than the 86-88 models. yep agreed, i also read that the 85 had trw forged slugs in it, unfortunatly i didnt read that till after my head swap so i didnt check to try and verify..
also along with the bin change in the 89 i belive they did a more aggressive cam change then the 86-88's had.. unshure if it was more or less aggressive then the 85 cam though.
