    Allo.

    Just digging for info on what (hardware) is required to flash 2000+ GM ecu's. I dunno if I'm tarded or the answer is just so obvious that I'm overthinking it.
    ALDL obdii cable?

    HP Tuners, EFI Live and others will get the job done.

    Yes, but I know there are other ways that don't involve a pay per vin license. Tunerpro I believe does what I need does it not?

    TunerPro can't directly flash a newer PCM as far as I know. I believe that there are some tools that might work in some applications, but nothing as versatile as HPT or EFILive. If there were a really good free option, they wouldn't be making the tons of money that they do from the various licensing schemes. I think if you search for "LS1 flash tool" a thread or two will come up with some more info for you.
