I have a 91 chevy dually with a tbi 454 that I would like to see if there is anything I can do to hop it up.

Welcome to the forum.
How much work are you thinking about doing? Better heads can make a big difference in the TBI big blocks.
I have a similar motor in a 3/4 suburban. I put in a .500 lift summit cam, ground out the ports in the heads, aluminum eddy tbi intake with cleaned up runners, hedders and upped fuel pressure and a lot of tuning. It runs way better and smoother and I guess I have picked up maybe 100 hp but the pulling torque is what is most noticeable.
6395, BHDF, 7.4 BBC lightly modded now 6395 BMHM back to BHDF
I had an 88 crew cab dually. 461ci, th400, 4:10 gears. My combo was .030 over LS6 flattop pistons, stock heads with good serdi valve job with SS valves, Summit cam #1301, Edelbrock TBI intake, Edelbrock headers and single 3" exhaust with a huge Magnaflow muffler. Custom chip, 18lb fuel pressure spring and 3 wire O2 of course. It pulled like a freight train and got 10-12 mpg. As long as you stayed under 70 mph.
