Don't think it's load that is needed. Once it's turned off, software controls entry into standby. More of a look needed here as well.

I continued looking at the startup but not from "key on". I just kept cycling between engine stopped and 100RPM. When I move the optisim to 100rpm I see two batch (all injectors on) pulses. Then the sequential pattern starts. My test equipment just doesn't cut it for this work though. I think the batch mode begins on the first lo res. Once again I would like to see what the spark does. On would expect that because spark is directed to the correct cylinder by a mechanical rotor/cap that time with the engine is not a factor. Thinking about the opti wheel, it will take up to two low res pulses before synchronization between PCM and engine takes place. I believe this is why there are two batch fires. -Your thoughts??
