A data log can provide useful information, even when the engine is running poorly.
Base Pulse Width (BPW) is an important parameter.

Thanks Dave, I did need to Change BPW to 120, I will get some logging done and post the results
My 1227747 tuning experience has shown me to keep the BPW "window" to +/- 10% of the stock setting. Typically the 1227747 5.7 Liter TBI has BPW of 135, so a window of +/- 10% is a BPW between 121.5 ~ 148.5. TBI Injectors have a BPW "sweet spot", to much BPW causes idle quality and low speed driving issues and not enough BPW causes hesitation and driving issues at upper RPM's.

I started with an 83 5.0 F car auto trans ecm and calibration, then switched to an 84 5.0 F car ecm, then switched to a 1227747, and currently run a 1227427.has any one successfully upgraded ECM on the 84 Crossfire injection?? I know no one likes them
Changing fuel pressure always made a large difference when I was using a stock ecm. Generally I kept pressure around 10 psi back then.fuel pressure is @13psi
Have you balanced the throttle bodies yet?starts out with low idle the as it warms up the rpm increase to 1200 and that is where it stays
Thanks 1project2many, I am curious about the difference between 1227747 & 1227427?
The fuel pressure @13 has not been changed at least since I have owned it
as far as balancing throttle bodies, do you mean the IAC's or mechanical? I have tried to balance the IAC's but yesterday I noticed a whiney Squeal coming from top of engine.
Im thinking I have a problem with one of the IAC's , I have the original ones to install and see if the noise goes away.
I did check into balancing throttle bodies and no I have not done that. I am curious if I can use the multiple vacuum gauges I have to do that
