    OBDI tuneing

First and main question is: Now that Moates and hypertech no longer makes nor supplies the special boards so many used, is there any other company making them??

And WHY did or do we need these boards?

Why not just swap in the reprogrammed chip for the stock 28 pin chip??

PS any section here on OBDI systems?

    OBD1 Section: http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...GM-EFI-Systems

Supply vs. Demand is what causes any business to close. Not much demand for OBD1, but Boosted NW supports OBD1: https://boostednw.com/

Memcal 28 pin chips are soldered in, not plug-n-play. Some tuners use an Ultraviolet Light to erase the Memcal EPROM and reprogram the chip to eliminate the need to use an adapter board.

Ebay stuff to erase and program EPROM's https://www.ebay.com/p/1957818845

    Thanks Dave w

Thanks for the link to https://boostednw.com/
, although they seem to out of stock for may things.

I had to use a magnifier to see that they are indeed soldered in.

Will check in the http://www.gearhead-efi.com/Fuel-Inj...GM-EFI-Systems section

I have lots of Moates G1-type memcal adapters in stock, with the added ability to have bank switching of two bins on one 512 chip.

See the for sale thread here:
