    WARM UP TOO RICH

Just curios as to which tables i need to adjust to lean up the warm up cycle a smidge...

Once warm, she is pretty well spot on, just rich warming up to temps...

Also, when cranking when cold, it takes it a minute to hit, vs once warm it hits perfect at first key tap... Instant almost...

All help appreciated.... Just wanted to see which tables i should be looking at first and foremost.... I currently have all the others "ZERO'D OUT" etc.. Can attach a copy of the bin if anyone wishes to see.

    Thanks!

    Adam

There are multiple tables under "startup". Stay away from "cranking" as this will affect hot and cold.

Yeah i know startup is not what i am after...

I wish i knew why it cranks so long when cold at first startup because man it does so well once warm... Soon as you hit the key.. WHAM! Fires... LT4 Hotcam isn't that "BIG"..

But yeah any areas i should focus on for warm up cause it gets bad enough sometimes to burn the eyes a bit, but once warm she's good across the board..

Not sure what your XPS will have them labeled as, try:

#1-spark advance – probably needs 10° more than a hot engine,

#2-I would check the IAC valve, need a lot more air when it is cold cranking. To test this you could turn the key on then open the throttle about 25%, and then try cranking it over.

#3-there should be something similar to a "key on prime" that is similar to an accelerator pump shot when setting the choke.

Remember there are Decay and Delay rates for all of the settings. Does it run rich for 3 to 5 minutes until it starts warming up or just for 15 to 20 seconds? In my bin under engine calibration – fueling – startup – there is after start enrichment delay, after start enrichment delay decay after start coolant temp enrichment, after start enrichment Dely, after start enrichment factor, and several others.

Yeah that is the table i moved up a few notches....

I just literally shifted the whole table up a few vs factory to see if that will do it....

I wanted to make sure where it's a EBL P-4 there wasn't a more specific table needed first etc....

It does the rich thing from about 2min after startup to at temp.... I also was thinking it may need the throttle opened slightly more but IAC is damn good and spot on during closed loop datalogs.

I don't know why it cranked so long, i am gonna try the throttle route first during cranking, see how that goes before messing with choke or cranking fuel settings, but the decay rate seems to be it thus far.... From the replies...

    We gonna see...
