Error 51 can happen from a bad burn chip, mis installed etc... won't get data with that code... well, when you turn key on, does it blink and stay on till you start it? Then go off?

I just checked the light comes on, goes off when started then back on and stays on. my mechanic thinks one of the pins are in the wrong place on the Ron Frances test port or the moats plug has a wire on wrong place. we have a Teck one scanner on its way here from a dealership and should be able to look at the wire setup and see witch one is wrong if any. that plug was pre wired from R F. this car has been a 9 month build and im so glad to hear it run. Useing Tunnerpro rt program.

I doubt it's the Moates cable? But on the ALDL port data comes from Pin E for 160 Baud and Pin M for your 8192 Baud and a ground.

Your CEL is working right but since it comes on when started you have a code set...
