Check the ignition maps.

I only looked at Low Oct, High Oct and Max allowed Retard.... this is surely a recipe for disaster!

It had a SLP MAF, and due to stock MAF curve never read high enough airmass to come off the stock, lower load ignition values.

I picked up 20 whp off of adding fuel, motor wanted the timing it was "seeing" when it arrived, everything else was driving manners... no more idle surge, or light throttle fuel trim stumble.

I actually have a 2004 5.3 tune for a magnacharger and was tuned by the guy there i read out ill dig it up for you.
