that's not how i'd do it, but should be fine?
those lengths can't be right though. tighten it up or your harness will be ugly.
Its not mine, someone else' project but I don't like how its wired.

Yeah the design is unorthodox.

looping one to the next is bad in my opinion.i allways group them in groups and junction all injectors to one point.on v6 i pair sets of 3 v8 sets of 4. you want them all getting the same amount of volts/current
electrically speaking this is perfectly fine, each injector will get the same electrical potential, or at least the difference would be difficult to measure without some very expensive and very sensitive gear.
The only reason to run equal lengths or group wires differently than in the picture is for looks.
The man who says something is impossible, is usually interrupted by the man doing it.
Are those butt splice connectors? No good for splicing 2 wires into 1 hole and also no good if you don't have the proper crimper. Also, there is no splice under the tape, right?
Is that bare wire where the 2 wires are spliced together on the second from the left connector?
Are they butt connectors, or are they heat shrunk? They look like heat shrink over connections to me, but the picture isn't clear enough to see.

Looks like bare connections with shrink wrap to me
