    Edit the 4.8 to 5.3 and scale the idle airflows. Use the 5.3 VE. Use what ever timing you like. Keep all the parts associated with the manual. Leave the throttle cracker and follower alone. Do not do an engine segment swap or you will write over the important manual parts.

    Thanks for the input. You confirmed what I had been thinking about a segment swap.

    I have a 2000 chevy k1500 5.3 5 speed project i bought it has a 9381344 os in it currently. i have not tried to start the truck because i have been replacing head gaskets. the truck came out with 4.3. would you have a 5.3 5speed dbc 4x4 bin i could use if i swapped to the 2156 os

    I use TunerCats OBD2 .cal files, not .bin files.

    im attempting to do the same but with a p59 06 5.3 to my 5speed.
