My experience was different, the engine ran ok, well enough to drive around when the truck with the unmodified PCM (Some fuel and spark tuning was done). Then with ZERO changes to the BIN, swapped the TH350 to a 4L60E, and bam, the engine ran so much better and smoother, again with ZERO changes to the bin. The only change being the change in transmission. I used both 2000 PPM and 4000 PPM sensors with no positive effect.
Before the 4L60E went in the truck would move along stutter at higher RPM, and just generally didn't like the missing inputs.
The man who says something is impossible, is usually interrupted by the man doing it.
I see it in the cluster connector. The 2000ppm signal is probably there then, but still the schematic is for all models so it's no guarantee.
