What is the difference of a "quick reply" a "regular reply" a "reply with quote" and a "reply to thread" ???? thanks

Quick Reply, Reply, and Reply to Thread are the same thing. They just open a small text box right in the thread that you can type into.
Reply with Quote does what I'm doing right now--it includes a quote from the post you intend to reply to. This is helpful in instances where many people are posting replies and you want to answer a specific question.

Thanks I guess I'll have to experiment until I can fully understand how forums work.
Reply with quote will quote an entire post. If I'm interested in replying to one line or one statement I will copy the line and paste it into my reply like this:
Then I will add opening and closing "quote" statements like this (the W was added to avoid technical difficulties):Code:I guess I'll have to experiment
This is what the final result looks like once the W's are removed:Code:[Wquote]I guess I'll have to experiment[/Wquote]
I guess I'll have to experiment
