I remember all the pics that you had posted about the Vortec/TBI trucks. Complete L31 longblokc/accessories, but with the TBI on top with teh LO5 snorkel IIRC.
Then there are the complete L31 CSFI engines that were stuffed into the Mexico Export GMT 800 trucks. Some of them had the 400SS decals on the side of the box a'la the 454SS trucks.
Also the L31 was optional on the 02-07 Avalanche, trucks and such. I made a post about the L31 calibrations into the newer Mexico vehicles.

I wish that I had saved those pictures, as they are no longer available.

Im NOT CONFUSED!! ive been in the industry for many years etc.. IT is a 7427 ecm wit a BJYL chip/bin whatever.. It is registered with ICBC as a 1996 but the production date is late 1995 THis applies to another mechanics truck at my old work as well As my 2001 2500HD etc etc.. Nothing special or weird going on just the date of production and what they consider to be a newer truck etc.
NOW any tuning tips would be greatly appreciated instead of all the Worry of what year and how its insured etc?
CANADA
Sorry this is for OBDI vehicles, you'll have to ask in the 1996 and newer OBDII section. But they don't handle $OD there so your truck can't be tuned!
1990 Chevy Suburban 5.7L Auto ECM 1227747 $42!
1998 Chevy Silverado 5.7L Vortec 0411 Swap to RoadRunner!

GOTTA LOVE THE HELP?????? Lets forget what year and make and model it is!!!!!!!! Im tuning a 7427 Ecm using $0D xdf file on a stock 350ci engine with cold air intake and mild after cat exhaust. EGR is removed etc.. Can anyone give some hints tips etc for a good power gain and mileage gain with this setup.. Its in a half ton 4x4.
Can we try that?
maybe some where though its life some one has done a swap on this truck?
LOL
I see it now, the owner gets into an accident and teh insurance company says "Whoa we insured a 1996 truck, not a 1995 truck" covered, you are NOT.lol
OK we are dealing with a MY 1995 OBD1 truck.
Ive got a few GMT 400 trucks, a 1997 truck that was built in December of 1996, and another 1997 that was built in September 1996. Both of these trucks are MY 1997 trucks.
Seriously though, if the owner went to a parts counter you would be quoting a 1995 truck, not 1996.
