But if u say it would be easier to get the 7747 I found one at local junk yard good price but should I get a harness of the same vehicle or will the one I have work I dont seem to understand why ! 88 ecm on a tbi engine isn't a tbi ecm but the other newer one is tbi ecm and if im running tbi why wouldn't I want the tbi ecm
The quick answer, the '7427 computer is really a Powertrain Control Module (PCM) designed for operating the TBI and 4L60E / 4L80E transmission shifting. The '7747 is an Engine Control Module (ECM) only. The harness is not the same, you will need a '7747 ECM computer and '7747 Harness. The '7747 has a "Park" switch input. Wiring the '7747 to be in "Park" all the time will eliminate the need for a VSS. The PROM of the '7747 needs to be reprogrammed to eliminate emission and knock. Usually the '7747 is found in V8 TBI trucks from 1987 to 1990.

Ground ECM pin B-10 orange wire with a black stripe (org/blk) to ground black wire with a white stripe (blk/wht).
I posted the '7747 ECM $42 .xdf definition file used to edit the .bin file, and the .adx definition file used for data logging.
The attached asdu9567.bin file is a stock file for you to learn and practice with, I don't know what vehicle the asdu.9574 was used for.
Plan on a few hours of of homework with TunerPro RT.
